I went there cause the hotel recommended it to me. They were right, this place is awesome, the service provided by the waiter was good, looking forward every table in case they need something they can easily ask for it. The good quality was impressive everything was quite tasty.
We had a very nice dinner and experience. I was concerned about the poor reviews about salty food, rude servers and not speaking English. They must have been posted by overly entitled tourists. We had delicious soup, we each had the tuna entrée, a nice desert and a bottle of the house wine. The food was excellent and there was plenty of it. The service was attentive and the fact that we speak only English was not a problem.
Totally impressive restaurant from start to finish. Nice atmosphere, phenomenal food. Extremely generous portions. All three of us could not finish our meals and we were totally satisfied. I had the clams appetizer and the grilled octopus. Both were the best I have ever eaten. Absolutely delicious! Service was extremely attentive. Despite a language difference all of the staff went out of their way to understand us and communicated effectively. The prices were inexpensive for such well prepared food. Wonderful people. Being in the hospitality business, I must say that this is a superlative little gem that other restaurants could take lessons from.
Really great food - we stopped by for dinner from our hotel and was pleased by how delicious everything was! We got the clams as a starter, octopus and black pork. Had enough food for 3 people!
A small but very nice restaurant right next to the Corinthia, where we were staying. Decided to walk in, not too many people when we did so we were worried. But while we were eating the place filled up, so all good :) Service: Since there weren't too many people when we arrived, the service was impeccable! We didn't know much about traditional Portuguese food - they made several recommendations, good wine choices, etc. The place is more of a business lunch place, so you don't see too many people during the evening. Drinks - Had wines that were by the glass on the menu. Note - it is not a place where you'll find high end wines but the choices on the menu were good and went down very well with the food. Food - Appetizers: got the bread basket, and the shrimp - the shrimp was especially well made, not floating in butter :). For entrees we got pork stew (came with fries), breaded fish, cilantro rice. All tasted very good and we enjoyed our time.
